关于桑塔·露琪亚：

　　露琪亚是一位那不勒斯出生的女教徒，后去西西里岛传教，遭到迫害，殉教身亡。后来为了纪念被封为光明女神的露琪亚，就把那不勒斯郊区的一个小港口，命名为桑塔露琪亚（Santa Lucia，圣露琪亚）。《桑塔露琪亚》是虽是一首意大利歌曲，在北欧的瑞典每年12月13日却有个‘桑塔露琪亚节’，在这一天，人们高举蜡烛，齐唱《桑塔露琪亚》，走街串巷，互相问候，平静地度过一天。为什么意大利的歌曲会成为北欧瑞典节日的主旋律呢？原来，桑塔露琪亚中的‘露琪亚’原文意为‘光明’，后被引申到天主教里，指驱走黑暗，带来光明的圣女（也就是光明女神）。北欧由于纬度高，长年处于黑夜长，白天短的环境，人们对光明的渴望非常强烈。12月 13日是桑塔露琪亚的殉难日，又恰逢冬至，于是瑞典人为了纪念圣女也为了迎接光明，把这一天定为‘桑塔露琪亚节’，就这样意大利的歌曲就成了北欧瑞典节日的主旋律。所以 ‘桑塔露琪亚’这几个字，可以是一首歌，可以是一个地名，也可以是一位姑娘，同时还意味着光明。”
